All the actions of the organization are based on the principles of non-formal education. Our projects aim to support the development of active citizens, capable of sense of responsibility, criticism and solidarity.
About Compagnons Bâtisseurs:
The organisation Compagnons Bâtisseurs, aka CBB, is a non-profit organization recognized and financially supported as Youth Organization by the Brussels-Wallonia Federation since 1978. It is member of the ALLIANCE of European Voluntary Service Organizations since 1997. In Belgium, CBB is member of the federation of the pluralist and independent youth organizations. Very recently, CBB also became member of the CCIVS.

The Association of Compagnons Bâtisseurs, aka CBB, develops different projects which mainly focus on group dynamics. As an ESC volunteer, you will get actively involved in our activities, from the preparation to the evaluation. Your role will also be to facilitate, together with CBB leaders and other CBB volunteers, the inclusion and participation of diverse audiences (local population, people with disabilities, people newly arrived in Belgium, ESC volunteers, etc.) in the activities of the organisation: international workcamps, youth exchanges, activities in CBB community garden, weekend volunteering projects, intercultural activities…

The Association of Compagnons Bâtisseurs, aka CBB, is a non-profit, non-political youth organisation recognised by the French Community of Belgium. The organisation proposes different kinds of activities, mainly based on volunteering and non-formal education: local and international work camps, medium and long term voluntary service, week-end workcamps, leisure time activities for and with disabled people, youth exchanges and local and international trainings.
The volunteer will be involved in the promotion, preparation, implementation and follow-up of our voluntary projects and non-formal education activities (work camps and weekends, youth exchanges, environmental weeks, volunteering days, pre camps, preparation sessions….). They will help CBB team in its role of support organisation for more than 20 ESC volunteers on the French speaking territory, and will be involved in local activities. This project includes administrative tasks, some IT time but also manual work on a regular basis!

Gamedella has two main aims : – as an organisation recognised as “homework club” :to support the intellectual development, social emancipation, cultural access and the citizenship learning for children from 4 to 15 years old. – as a youth centre recognised by the French community of Belgium: to support the development of an active, critical, in solidarity and responsible citizenship among young people from 12 till 26 years old.
Join the team and help in all their activities ! After school support : children come to receive help to do their homework and participate in fun activities organised by you; Free time at the youth center : young people and adolescents meet at the youth center to spend some time together; Recreational Wednesday : “discovery” activities offered to children between 6 and 11 years old; Little Citizens (6-9 years old) or mini CRACS (10-12 years old): school support and citizen action; Weekly workshops and holidays residential stays.

Archeoparc Malagne is a non-profit organisation set up to protect and valorise an archaeological site from Gallo-roman history. It reproduces a farm from this period of time and recreate the different techniques and know-hows used at that time.
The volunteers will mostly help out in the maintenance of the 7 hectares of the domain (planting vegetables, mowing, fixing fences…), take care of the animals living on site, help with the building of new places by using Gallo-roman techniques and follow the archaeological experiments done (one on a harvesting machine, the other one on the production process of barley beer “cervoise”). The tasks are mostly outdoors and manual. And the pictures are not lying: it is pretty remote!

Accueil Famenne is a non profit organisation whose social aim is to welcome, accompany and support people whose basic needs are barely or not met, without any distinction of origins or believes. It aims to promote fraternity, solidarity, equality and social justice in Rochefort and surroundings.
The volunteers will help out in the planning, creation and maintenance of a vegetable garden to be enjoyed by the beneficiaries of Accueil Famenne. They will support the food bank alongside the local volunteers who collect the goods, sort them and prepare the packages to give out twice a week. Last but not least, they will help the second hand shop „Li Gûrni” by upcycling the various donated furniture according to their tastes.

Founded in 1979, the non-profit organisation La Tchicass was born out of the observation that many children from immigrant backgrounds and disadvantaged Belgian families were facing serious difficulties at school. From the outset, La Tchicass has been built around a fundamental principle: promoting the integration of residents by providing collective and individual support to help them overcome their difficulties. Much more than just a homework club, the association is above all a place of welcome, exchange and activity, for both children and adults.
The volunteers will contribute to two out of their three projects: support to the kids project, where homework support, recrational activities and weekly workshops are organised; suppor to the adults project, where the volunteers will act as motivator and provide their ideas for cultural activities with the group of adults learning French.

Created 30 years ago, the npo Le Centre Liégeois du Beau-Mur offers exchange and reception spaces for organisations as well as citizens carrying democratic and alternative projects.
Beau Mur has two main types of activities:
1. Beau Mur is an “house of organisations”. The place provides spaces (offices, meeting rooms…) for various liked-minded organisations, allowing them to carry on their activities but also to network and create sinergies
2. The organisation sets up activities and actions aiming at encouraging social innovation, continuing education, and the contribution to civic transition : greening the public areas, debates about societal issues, dramatised popular lecture known as “conférence gesticulée”, cooking workshops… Its activities always have a territorial anchoring.
The volunteer will mainly help out in communication and social networks, as well as with the lifelong learning activities and workshops being organised by Le Beau Mur and the hosted organisations.
