Training Course „Would You Survive 2”

We are looking for 6 participants from Poland for the Training Course „Would You Survive 2” which will be implemented in Kaunas Lithuania, between 27th of September – 6th of October 2024.

Project details

Would You Survive?” part 2 aims to empower youth workers with the necessary knowledge and hands-on skills to prepare and respond promptly to potential emergencies, as well as integrate disaster education and preparedness in their communities and respective organizations. The project focuses on raising awareness and providing tailored non-formal methodologies for youth workers to bridge the knowledge gap in disaster education.

Additionally, it’s designed to equip youth workers with essential knowledge to address natural and man-made disasters, ensuring the safety and well-being of the young people under their care. This knowledge empowers them to effectively respond to emergencies, fostering a safe environment for the youth they work with, even in challenging situations, addressing a crucial need for them.

Given that many of these organizations are located in regions prone to natural hazards such as floods and earthquakes, the project places special emphasis on addressing the specific challenges associated with these risks. The EU Go Association is committed to enhancing the partners’ capacity in building community resilience and responding effectively to natural disasters. By working closely with each participating organization, the project aims to empower them with the knowledge and skills needed to develop comprehensive, context-specific strategies for disaster preparedness, ensuring a more resilient and responsive community in the face of adversity

The specific objectives of the project are:

  • Enhance the adaptability of 30 youth workers from 5 different countries by providing comprehensive training in versatile survival skills, applicable across diverse contexts.
  • Learn relaxation techniques to effectively manage stress and cope with panic attacks during emergency situations.
  • Enhance essential first aid skills to provide immediate medical assistance in times of crisis.
  • Provide youth workers with engaging non-formal learning methods designed to integrate disaster education into their youth work practice, such as disaster-related scenarios, team-oriented tasks, interactive presentations, hands-on practice and simulations.

The project will involve 30 participants  from Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Latvia and Estonia.

Project dates:  27 September – 6 October 2024.
