🇪🇸🌱 Borys’ ESC Volunteering Experience in Spain 🌱🇪🇸
Borys Radziwilski has just completed his ESC journey in Burgos, Spain with the hosting organization Amycos between 07/09/2024 – 17/06/2025 and we’re excited to share his reflections! 💬✨
From working in a local vegetable garden to supporting people with mental disabilities, Borys made a meaningful impact in his host community. He described his work in the garden as “very satisfying,” adding that it allowed him to feel like he was truly supporting the local community while being part of a great team. 🧑🌾💚
He also contributed to an organization helping people with disabilities, an experience that helped him improve his social skills and gave him a deeper understanding of the importance of inclusive support. 🙌
One of Borys’ favorite memories? Being invited by his coworkers to a traditional Spanish dinner – a moment of connection and cultural exchange that he’ll never forget. 🍲🥘🇪🇸
Throughout the project, Borys participated in Spanish classes offered by the hosting organization. He’s proud of how much his Spanish improved, and described learning the language as “a fun process.” 🗣️📚
He also had the chance to travel across Spain, discover his new city, and immerse himself in Spanish culture – experiences he calls “unforgettable.” 🧳🌍
“The project has been a big learning experience for me both at work and in personal life. I feel inspired by everything I experienced and all the people that I met.” – Borys
We’re incredibly proud of Borys and grateful to the host organization for their support. His journey is a perfect example of how volunteering through the European Solidarity Corps can lead to personal growth, cross-cultural friendships, and unforgettable memories. 🌍💫
Thank you, Borys, for being part of this adventure and thank you for the Amycos organization! 💙
