Let’s get down to Eco-business – Youth Exchange in Katowice

“Let’s Get Down to Eco-Business” was a youth exchange project financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Program.

From April 3 to 9, 2025, 37 enthusiastic and ambitious young people from five different countries gathered together in Katowice, Poland, for the “Let’s Get Down to Eco-Business” youth exchange. This initiative not only explored key topics like sustainability and environmental awareness but also equipped participants with a range of skills essential for both personal growth and their future professional careers. The participants came to the project filled with motivation, creativity, and a genuine desire to make a difference — for themselves, for society, and for the world. What united them all was a powerful drive and a genuine passion for change. Throughout the project, they moved a few steps closer to their goals, bringing their eco-friendly ideas to life, presenting innovative visions, and sharing new ways to make the world a more sustainable place. Beyond their first steps into entrepreneurship, the participants found themselves immersed in a colorful blend of cultures through vibrant cultural evenings and multicultural teamwork. It helped them to expand their worldviews, sharpen their language skills, and open doors to new perspectives and unexpected inspirations.

From the very first day, the young people were teamed up into international teams, where each participant stood out with their own personality, story, and worldview. What united them all was a shared desire to change the world and make it more sustainable. This common passion not only became the foundation for friendships but also sparked the creation of new eco-startup ideas. All of these concepts were gathered into a shared presentation, which is now openly available for anyone interested to explore — showcasing the innovative solutions developed during the youth exchange.

Each project stands out for its creativity and genuine concern for modern environmental challenges that demand real solutions. But it didn’t stop there: throughout the project, participants also had the opportunity to design logos for their startups, create fitting advertisements to attract their target audiences, and distribute roles within their teams — giving them a true taste of what it means to be entrepreneurs. The participants embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and dedication, and by the end of the project, five innovative startups had emerged, each presented with creativity and a strategic approach by their teams on the final day.

And, of course, no project is complete without creatively showcasing the startups developed by the participants. One of the main tasks was to create a promotional video that effectively and clearly communicated the business concept behind each idea. This compilation features all the video advertisements made by the participants during the project, highlighting their innovative ideas and the dedication they put into their work.

In conclusion, participants from each country had the opportunity to present the innovative green start-up concepts they developed during the youth exchange. Upon returning to their home countries, they shared their experiences with peers and local communities, raising awareness about the importance of sustainable entrepreneurship. Several participants also utilized social media platforms to document their experiences and extend their message to a wider audience. Additionally, many took proactive steps by organizing workshops in local schools, where they applied the skills and knowledge gained during the exchange to inspire others and promote entrepreneurial thinking within their communities.
